review rating - 1 to 5 stars FAMILY HISTORY - My mother was born and raised in this area until she was about 6 years old or so. Her family name was Hendershot, a name that is well known up there. I remember many stories she would tell my brother Tommy and I about life in Northern Minnesota.
2/2/2017 7:41:27 AM Mille Lacs Kathio State Park by Dale
review rating - 1 to 5 stars The best - I have stayed at Kathio for many years and find the park and the staff to be exceptional. I go at the not busy times and find it very quiet and peaceful. The stars at night are amazing. The staff go out of there way to make your stay great.
10/23/2016 2:23:14 PM Sibley State Park
review rating - 1 to 5 stars Not for horse lovers!! - Limited trails that are not kept up for starters, the horse camp was not taken care of at all not worth the money or long trip to get there. Then there was the part that there were people camping in the horse camp without horses but had no problem letting their kids run around spooking the horses!
10/14/2016 5:12:43 PM Camden State Park by Sharon Sannerud
review rating - 1 to 5 stars Memories of Picnics at Camden State Park - We had many family gatherings at Camden State Park in earlier years when we would drive past the Park Ranger Home(which I saw today) and we could drive over the old bridge to the only picnic areas of that time. Us children would like to climb up the big hill or at least we thought it was big then. I usually slipped back down before getting to the top.
5/17/2016 7:23:15 AM Fort Ridgely State Park by Charlie Bornhoft
review rating - 1 to 5 stars Fun golf course - Please keep the golf course... We taught our son how to golf there.. it is beautiful.!!
4/24/2016 12:29:42 PM Whitewater State Park by thomas smith
review rating - 1 to 5 stars dogs rule - The park rules are not enforced. If you want privacy definatley dont come here. Like camping at walmart. It was clean, fairly quiet after 10pm, scenic. Oh yes it was packed full.
11/5/2015 1:00:49 AM O L Kipp State Park by Bill C.
review rating - 1 to 5 stars Been going there all my life. - The name of this State Park has been changed to Great River Bluffs State Park. It covers a range of terrains from prairie and meadow to Pine forest and Hardwood forest. Stunning views overlooking the Mississippi River as well as wooded valleys. Most trails are easy to moderate. Only a couple of slightly challenging trails. Beautiful place.
