Two-hundred acre Whitewater Lake and access to Brookville Reservoir, along with other recreational facilities make Whitewater Memorial State Park a great family getaway.

The land for the park was originally purchased by the surrounding counties of Union, Fayette, Franklin and Wayne as a memorial to the men and women who served in World War II.

Visitor Comments, Memories and Reviews
June 11 Peaceful by JD
park review stars; one to five We go here every year, my children love that the playground is right next to our campsite. We do to as we can see them the whole time we are at camp. It is nice to know right where they are. We always stay at site 178. The only thing I do not care so much for is the bathrooms and the bird poo on the beach. Other than that we love to go out onto the old rickety dock and fish. Sit and watch our children play in the water. And truly enjoy our family time together. Last year was the first time I had seen trash in our pit, but we ask someone to come clean it out and they did. It is the people sometimes who stay there that are not taking care of the property and after awhile I am sure there is just so much the park staff can do to get it all done.
February 27 memories
park review stars; one to five I have been coming to whitewater state park for over 25 years. I first came with my mammaw and papaw with the camper. I played one the beach and still have the photograph. I fished there with my now deceased dad. I have gone to reunions, birthdays, and concerts. Today I still hike the trails and enjoy the local wildlife.
