Indiana State Parks
Pretty park, but definitely loud. Lots of groups, music and drinking. Sites are very exposed so no real privacy. Definitely avoid weekends unless you like the noise. 
love camping with our horses...hard to get sites on holidays..love reservation service but i feel if you do not have horses you should not be able to reserve site...but using for over flow is fine the day of...alot of people cannot get a site because of them reserving for non horse people on holidays
Love the park so much... I proposed to my, well now my fiance there. It has become a tradition to camping there now every year. Thankyou for such a beautiful park! We go camping here atleast once a year, great fishing and the kids love it. we have a family reunion every year around December 20th errrr something and we have an amazing time there love it , just love it i thank god for this park and please bless this park lord :) amen We began coming to Potato Creek when it was just a State Recreation Area! Always enjoyed the nice size camping sites. Now we use the cabins. PCSP just keeps us coming back for more! Our indiana state park family camping trips are some of our favorite vacations. And even after 15 years Potato Creek is still first on our list to visit. 
If you don?t mind feeling like a child with very strict parents. This place is for you !! You might want to check the rules before you plan on staying at this place ! I will never camp or fish or Kayak here again!! This park has it all. Wildlife, camping and miles of horse and bike trails together in this Great Northern Indiana Park. And it is only 2 hours from Chicago !! We have been camping here for 30 years and will continue for another 30. Absolutely beautiful park, recommend families to go. They have lots to do and is not expensive at all. Potato Creek is a great place to go even for a weekend. Some of the activities that I have enjoyed are taking a bike ride, going to the beach, having a pick-nick, and taking a marvelous boat ride. My family loves the bike trails.they are hard but easy. thank you,its beautiful park. well here you can find lots of ideas and i think that this is so cool....... my parents has been taking me to potato creek since i was 6 months old, now i am 30,and i have been takeing my family for the pass couple of years on camping trip with my wife and two kids. and we have a trip coming up ...in june at potato creek.. i will always come here... this is were i grow up at. and I want my kids to take there familys here to!!!!!!!!this place is the BEST!!!!!!
seter racing27 I LOVED THAT PLACE. I WENT DURING WINTER AND IT WAS REALLY GOOD. REALLY GOOD PLACE. =) I went this weekend, sept 7, 2008 they have drained the creek some its the most i dont know what word to use. From the shore line the water is back about 10-15yards. The explorer in me was looking at all the shells and stuff you dont get to see when the water is there. The nature side of me was looking for anything alive that needed to get put in the water. The artist side of me was looking at the new old upcoming life and death This is another one of those beautiful Indiana state parks!!! I hiked the 10K AVA event 08-16-08 and was so delighted with the hiking trails and beauty of this park. I could tell there was much love for this park. I was happy to see quite a few people enjoying the park that day. It made me happy to see so many people enjoying one of our beautiful state parks. I will return---it is a favorite on my list. Potato Creek is our favorite park. There is something for everyone. You can ride your bikes through the woods and prairie land, take a dip at the beach, and hike the trails. Wander a little bit off of the beaten path and you will find beaver dams, ospreys nesting, and wild turkeys strutting.
We visit Potato Creek just about daily. There is an old cemetery in the State Park that still has a few plots left. We intend to enjoy the park for life...and then some. best memories i have are here I have been going to this park for 20 years now. The best one around. I highly recommend going. Everyone can find something to do. It is clean and the people are friendly.
