This 763-acre day-use park is a popular get-away for area residents. The park lake, formally a mill pond that dates back to the Civil War days, features cypress trees, numerous species of birds and a variety of wildlife and plant life.

This regional state park offers seasonal boating, fishing, picnicking and a meeting building.

Enjoy fishing in a 140-acre spring-fed lake, home to species like largemouth bass and bream. A canoe trail is available for those who prefer kayak or canoe fishing. The park also offers boat rentals if needed. Fishing from the bank is another option here.

The rental meeting building is ideal for meetings and special occasions for up to 60 people.

The facility which is handicap accessible rents for $160-200/day (includes daily admission fee) and boasts a floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace, full kitchen and screened porch with a view of the lake.

Birding
Birdwatching enthusiasts can enjoy spotting various species along a 3-mile canoe trail and around the park's lake. The area is home to numerous waterfowl, wading birds, woodpeckers and songbirds. Bird lovers may also participate in guided bird walks offered by the park staff.
