Nestled in the heart of whitewater rafting country, Hawks Nest State Park encompasses 276 acres bordering a rugged section of the New River Gorge National River. Long known for its panoramic views, the park offers a modern, 31 room lodge for the comfort of overnight guests. Suites are available at an additional cost. Below the lodge, the New River forms peaceful Hawks Nest Lake. Above the lake, the narrow canyon and rushing water create one of the most challenging wildwater boating waterways in the nation.

Whether you're searching for an ideal summer vacation, access to exciting whitewater rafting or a quick getaway to view autumn's color, Hawks Nest State Park is a perfect year-round sanctuary.
Golf Course
The 9-hole executive course offers beautiful vistas of the New River and Gauley River valleys. The golf course opens daily at 8 a.m and is located 5 miles west of the lodge. Cart and club rentals are available at the pro shop. The Hawks Nest State Park club house or the conference room at the lodge is perfect for business meetings or group gatherings.

Conference and banquet rooms in the Lodge offer unique accommodations for corporate and group meetings up to 60 people.

Lodge
From the lodge, visitors are treated to spectacular views of the lake, marina, New River Gorge Bridge, and the exciting aerial tramway which serves the lakeside recreational facilities. Picnic facilities are adjacent for guests' convenience.

Many of the guest rooms' private outdoor balconies command a view of the gorge and the lake, while others overlook the outdoor swimming pool which is available for lodge guests in season. Tennis and game courts are also conveniently located nearby. The dining room provides panoramic canyon views and features regional home cooking in a casual setting.

park review stars; one to five After my husband and I got married at The Glen Ferris Inn we soon made our way to Hawks Nest where we rented the cutest cabin! The friendly service was, I tell you shocking I never had such friendly service. All of the activities were just amazing and it is well worth the money. We would recommend it to anybody. Actually our friend Elizabeth and her husband went and they really enjoyed themselves as well. Anyway we were doing our thank you notes and I couldn't think of any other way to thank you for everything.
