Overlooking the water of Narragansett Bay. Intersected by East Bay Bike Path. 33 picnic sites each with a fireplace. Two baseball fields, and a dog walking area called Paws path.
History of the Area
Haines Memorial State Park was established in 1911 when Ida M. Haines donated 83 acres of land to the Metropolitan Park Commission. The land was donated for use as a park in memory of her brother.
Fishing
Located in Rhode Island, the park offers saltwater fishing with species like striped bass and bluefish. Freshwater options include largemouth bass, trout, catfish and sunfish. Fishing from a boat or shoreline is possible here.



Picnicking
Haines Memorial State Park offers picnic groves with tables and grills, perfect for family outings. Restrooms are also available.
Bicycling
In East Providence, a variety of cycling options are available. Be aware that some paths may be challenging for beginners.
