October 16 Candlelight hike
My wife and I did the candlelight hike to the mill on October 15 and had a nice time. The guide was very knowledgeable and shared some interesting facts about the mill. Well worth the $5 registration fee.
April 16 Great family time and exercise. by Janie
Had a wonderful time with my two daughters and grandson. The view was unbelieveable and others on the trail were helpful and friendly. Would love to return any time.
March 10 Nice Park BUT! by DS
I was down there this week, 3/10/14. and saw where something had killed a deer on the trail. I was wondering what Sweetwater Creek Park now has that is big enough to take down a deer and gut it? Is it also big enough to take down a person too?
August 16 Breathtaking by Tami Lipham
This is a beautiful park. The trails are a site to see. It always amazes me how this much beauty can be so near such a busy city like Atlanta. It is a must see.
January 10 Great Hiking and History
Sweetwater Creek State Park has a little bit of everything. A fun, rugged trail along the rapids of Sweetwater Creek, Civil War Era ruins, Native American history, a reservoir for canoeing, and a Visitor Center that was the first Platinum Leed Certified builing in the Southeast. Be sure to visit their wonderful educational exhibits.
