We were married at Harkness Memorial Park 17 Years ago. At sunset in August the gardens were in full bloom. 
I am an artist and I did an oil painting of the garden with the cherub holding the two ducks in the fountain. It was perfectly beautiful Many great memories at the park. Riding bikes, playing frisbee, horses, beach, hide and seek. Great area. A wonderful place for a wedding - my son & his wife got married there in May.... it was beautiful! The mansion is perfect for a small wedding or a large wedding. Love this park. You get the best of everything. Lots of grass to play, trees for shade, beach to sunbath. And the best part is you can bring your dogs to enjoy it with you. Also love the mansion and gardens. I love walking the grounds, watching the kites flying, taking photographs, and relaxing among so many lovely gardens. Lots of quiet places to sit and talk or meditate. Lots of opportunities for wonderful photos. great place to visit very relaxing I spent the day with my family at Harkness and the grounds are breathaking! rolling landscapes beautiful oceans, the hole atmosphere was spactular! we will return many times...after such a wonderful day......Thanks! My fiance and I LOVE this park. It is our favorite park we have been to by far. A very special place for us and we are going to look into having our wedding there. So many pretty flowers, green grass, ocean all around...its simply amazing!! Beautiful rolling seaside grounds. Hard to imagine one person owned all of this. The only downside is no swimming. The mansion is really cool, although not open all the time. You can fish, picnic and sunbathe. good spot for the family. Dogs are allowed and you see them alot. They just have to be leashed. Very peaceful and pretty seaside park.
