Located within the western slopes of the Cascades in southwest Oregon, lies the Umpqua National Forest comprising nearly a million acres. The Forest is known for countless recreation opportunities in this unique area where two beautiful rivers, the North and South Umpqua, begin deep within the Forest and flow westward to the Pacific Ocean.

1. Diamond Lake Campground: This campground is located on the shores of its namesake, offering stunning views and a variety of recreational activities such as fishing, boating, swimming and hiking.

2. Poole Creek Campground: Nestled in the forest near Lemolo Lake, this site offers both tent camping spots and RV sites with electric hookups.

3. Toketee Lake Campground: A small but beautiful campsite situated next to Toketee lake which provides opportunities for fishing or simply enjoying nature's beauty.

4. Broken Arrow Campground: Located at an elevation of 5,300 feet amidst towering pine trees providing ample shade to visitors along with access to nearby trails for hikers & bikers alike.

5. Boulder Flat Camping Grounds: Offers riverfront campsites that are perfect for those who enjoy water sports like rafting or kayaking.

6. Whitehorse Falls Camprgound: It has only few single-family campsites available making it ideal place if you're looking forward towards peaceful getaway surrounded by natural beauty.

7. Hemlock Butte Cabin: For something different from traditional camping,this historic cabin can be rented out year:round.

8. Slide Creek Camping ground: Situated close proximity Slide creek reservoir where one could indulge into various watersports during summer months while winter season attracts snowmobilers due their groomed trail system.

9. Lemolo Lakeshore East: As name suggests,it's right beside Lemolo lake giving direct access beach area well boat ramp facility.

10. Baker Bay Park: Apart regular amenities they also have yurt rentals option available here.

Rock Climbing and Rappelling
Rock climbing is one of many activities with the potential to affect local natural resources. A seasonal restriction has been applied to the areas listed below to protect natural resource values. Climbing is prohibited from January 1 through July 31 at the following areas:

Acker Rock, Tiller Ranger District

Eagle Rock, Diamond Lake Ranger Distric

Limpy Rock, North Umpqua Ranger District

Rattlesnake Rock, Diamond Lake Ranger Distict

Trail Creek, Tiller Ranger District

There may be other rocks on the Forest with similar restrictions. Before climbing, check with the individual Ranger District or the Supervisor?s Office of the Umpqua National Forest for more information.
