June 9 A beautiful walk & bikes allowed too by GordonS

The main purpose of this area is protection of wildlife & watershed for the water needs of San francisco and San Mateo counties. The San Andreas trail & connecting Crystal Spring trails run through it. (10+ miles long). Bikes allowed on both trails. Beautiful Picnic areas & a few geology lessons too. Wildlife abounds as well.

Unlike many NORCAL national forests, this entire area is hard to enjoy for even the light footed hiker, much less mountain biker, and much is to waste $$$. Lived in the area 20 years. Just sad in comparison to the frugal use of funds and excellent management of national forests/parks.
