November 11 Beautiful Park by Kris_T
We accidentally wound up in Wilburton after I asked hubby to turn off the Talimena Scenic drive to look for a lake. Since were already so close and I had wanted to go to Robbers Cave for a long time, we went. I am so thrilled this happened. This park, on this day, with all the fall color on full display was exactly what my soul needed Absolutely amazing and beautiful place

March 10 Great Views. Horrible Park. by James_T
First of all- Amazing views and awesome hikes But pretty much everything else was awful. We arrived at a campsite Deep Ford 001 and found it covered in trash. The park ranger said they would warn the people who were there first but seemed a little dismissive. I had poor customer service at the park office when asking about when the main bathrooms were locked. The bathrooms were supposed to be open till 11PM. They were consistently locked at 9PM. Groups of fishermen woke us up and invaded our campsite almost every night and every morning. We woke up the first morning to two men fishing 5 feet from the front of our tent. Several other groups of fishermen walked through our campsite and disrupted our time together. While some of them were nice, NONE of them were invited. When we reported these fishermen, we were told they had been warned before. That leads me to believe that the park ranger, who drove by several times, should have known to dealt with the problem The cave and the trails are great for day use but DO NOT waste your money on staying in this poorly managed, filthy, and disappointing park.
May 22 A Very Caring State Park Staff by Vic Heike Fowler
Wife I wish to Thank The Staff of Robbers Cave for making our stay a Very Memorable one. As Senior Citizens with Physical Limitations, everything from our cabin very Clean Completely Sanitized and having access right to the Front door with our car, Wheelchair access and no steps to climb to the Cabin Door. Perfect outside area with Fire Pit Ring, nice metal reclining camp chairs and a slot cut into the Picnic Table for a Wheelchair to roll right up to. The Robbers Cave Staff are truly professional and have the Visitors Welfare Comfort as their primary Mission. An Absolutely Great State Park Staff. Thank You Robbers Cave Staff, as General MacArthur told the Filipino people, I Shall Return
February 5 by Nancy Hester
I started visiting Robbers cave state park in 1961 when my family moved to the area. In 1980 I returned to the pines with my children and we came every summer for many years. At that time the Sutmillers , friends of my parents, were employed by the state park system. It was a magical time. All these years later I want to come back. Are any of the original cabins still available to rent Thank you for your help.
April 17 Surpassed all Expectations by Cody Gunter
Cabin was excellent, staff was courteous and eager to help, I plan on going back once a year!
February 19 serene and blissfull by Bowl of Chicken
There are so many great trails at the park, all kinds of terrain to explore. My partner and I made a game of it last time we were there with a group, we kept needing to sneak away from everyone to eat some chicken so we decided to see how many new places we could sneak away to when we were eating chicken. The trails behind the lake are the best for seclusion, as it seems like almost nobody goes back there...which makes it a really great place to sneak off to and eat some chicken. Lots of fun, never a dull experience!

March 25 Nature was great, staff not so much by Rambler
This park is beautiful for sure. Several nice trails to hike. The water is lovely. The cave itself is interesting and fun to explore. Was not impressed with any of the staff we met. Either hovering or dismisive.
November 14 by old-honeymooners
We went for our first anniversary/honeymoon this last weekend. Beautiful scenery every direction. Rented a cabin, it was great and adequately stocked. Friendly park staff. The stables however were a huge disapointment. We had reservations 3 weeks in advance and called twice including the morning of our scheduled ride to confirm. We had noon rides and turned out we wasted valuable time on Saturday awaiting to ride, only to be stiffed on it. No courtesy call to explain and the gates were locked. We left voice mail on both the pnone numbers given by the stables ads. Two other couples we spoke to had the same experience this weekend. The only thing they will tell you at the park office is that the stables are vendors and not park employees. Hmmm, perhaps they should say bye-bye to them and bring in a new vendor since they advertise so heavily on all the brochures that horse back riding is one of the main attractions/activities.

My frist family has gone at least 2 times a year, now i am remarried and have younger step children/grand children and started returning again. Its a great family place! Never have I been disappointed.
February 23 Great Times
I remeber as a little girl going to eat at the resturant there for the first time, I wanted pancakes and everyone kept trying to convince me not to get them. But I had made my mind up! A little later they bring it out, and much to my surprise it was huge and hanging off of the plate! But I was the happiest little girl in there! We have been taking our horses up there since I was old enough to hold myself up in a saddle and still to this day, after being married and having kids we still go as a family. It is an amazing place, and one that I will never get tired of!

August 2 First Time Experience by Mel
This was our first time at Robbers Cave with our travel trailer. We had a really nice site, though it could have been mowed as some weeds were pretty high. My son got into some poison ivy at the site. The restrooms were not clean and were very hot and muggy.
July 13 Memories for a Lifetime by Dawn
Robbers Cave is our family reunion destination every summer. Over seventy people gather from our family to spend quality time together. For 22 years, Robbers Cave has proven to be an exceptional host, from swimming,paddle-boats, feeding the monster catfish, volleyball, horseshoes, and hiking the magnificent trails, we have a never ending supply of activities. Of course, it always helps when you love the folks you are with!!!
July 8 Cabin & Fun by Sharla
We just stayed in deck cabin #125 and it was very nice. Perfect for our family. Our problem came when it rained a bit everything shut down for the rest of the day. By 3 p.m. the rain had passed but everything was closed. The swimming pool, mini golf, shaved ice, & trail rides. All these employees just went home because of a rain shower. No lighting or thunder........VERY disappointed because of this. Should have kept these things open for the campers. We are looking for a different destination next time.
July 5 First time visitor...
We stayed at the lodge for a family reunion this weekend and had a blast...the lodge was great, but the housekeeping left a little bit to be desired...the toilet was filthy and there was dust on the stainless fixtures in the bathroom...the bed and pillows were horrible...we had to go into town and buy a foam pad and new pillows so we could sleep. At one point a sewer line had backed up or broken and raw sewage was seeping out of the ground and was running toward the lake down by the gift shop...we reported it and never did see anything get done about it...
June 21 campsites/restrooms are neglected by disappointed
Stayed at #29 site with two tents - campsite had poison oak throughout and weeds up to our ankles. Restrooms were filthy when we arrived Fri morning and still had not been cleaned when we left (earlier than planned) on Sat evening.

September 20 cabins by Jean
The cabin was very nice but if you are taking children or spending a lot of time there keep in mind that there are no more televisions in the cabins. We were there for three days with rain and no tv. We read a lot. Next time we will take cards or board games to keep us busy.
