Picnicking
Percy Quin State Park offers numerous picnic spots with tables and grills, some overlooking the lake. Shelters are also available for rent.
Bicycling
Biking enthusiasts can explore a variety of trails, suitable for different skill levels. Be cautious as some paths are challenging.

The park's terrain offers both flat and hilly routes, requiring careful navigation due to occasional steep inclines.

Remember that helmets are mandatory when biking in the area - safety should always be your top priority.

Mountain bikers will find off-road tracks thrilling yet demanding; it is advisable to proceed with caution on these trails.

For those preferring leisurely rides, there exist paved roads perfect for family-friendly cycling experiences within this natural haven.

Ensure you have adequate water supplies before setting out since Mississippi heat can quickly lead to dehydration during strenuous activities like bicycling.

Nighttime riding isn't recommended given limited visibility conditions which could potentially result in accidents or injuries.
Birding
The park offers a variety of birding options, with over 100 species spotted. It features diverse habitats including woodlands and water bodies attracting different types of birds. Birdwatchers can explore the nature trail or rent cabins for overnight stays to observe nocturnal avian activities. The park also hosts annual events like the Great Backyard Bird Count in February.

park review stars; one to five The mcleod reunion is awesome
July 1 Pay to swim by Monique
park review stars; one to five Be aware that if you camp here the pool hours are in 2 sessions during the day and closes at 5:30. Also you have to pay at each session to swim. The lake swimming area also closes Pretty pathetic otherwise the park is nice. Could use some garbage cans around the park.
April 29 Very nice cabins and grounds by Brenda
park review stars; one to five The park and the cabins are very nice and the park is quiet and a great place to relax. Only problem for me is they will not allow campfires. What is camping without a fire at night? That was disappointing for the kids with me and for myself also.
