Picnicking
Martinak State Park offers picnic tables, grills and pavilions. It also has a nature center for educational activities post-picnic.
Bicycling
Biking enthusiasts can explore a variety of trails, though some are challenging with steep inclines and rough terrain.

The park offers paved paths suitable for family-friendly rides or beginners seeking an easy route.

Off-road biking is also available but requires caution due to uneven surfaces and potential obstacles like roots or rocks.

Nighttime cycling isn't recommended as the park lacks sufficient lighting on most routes, posing safety risks after dark.

Remember that helmets are mandatory for cyclists under 16 years old in Maryland; it's advisable even if you're older.

Always respect other trail users by maintaining appropriate speeds and yielding when necessary.

Check weather conditions before setting off since rain could make certain tracks slippery increasing chances of accidents.

Lastly, ensure your bike is well-maintained - brakes working properly & tires inflated correctly - to avoid mishaps during your ride.
Birding
Birdwatchers can enjoy spotting various species along the park's nature trails and waterfront areas. The area is home to waterfowl, songbirds, raptors, and migratory birds depending on the season. Birding enthusiasts may also participate in organized bird walks or use observation blinds for a closer look at avian life.
