In the Tennessee Valley, overlooking the majestic 69,000-acre Guntersville Reservoir, this park ranges over 6,000 acres of natural woodlands. The park has an 18-hole championship golf course, a beach complex, fishing center, hiking trails, nature programs and a day-use area. Modern campground and lakeview cottages on the lake, coupled with a resort lodge on the pinnacle of Taylor Mountain, and chalets on the ridge-tops provide a selection of overnight accommodations beyond comparison.
Looking for a place to have a meeting? Lake Guntersville Resort State Park provides a massive resort inn, restaurant and convention complex (currently under renovation) perfect for your association's next state or regional meeting. It has meeting facilities large enough to accommodate a banquet or opening session, along with smaller breakout rooms. The magnificent view of Lake Guntersville from atop Taylor Mountain will provide an experience not soon to be forgotten. This park ranks as a total recreational resort.
We have 15 lake-view cottages with a capacity of 1-6 people each. They are equipped with a sitting room with cable TV and DVD player, kitchen, two baths, and two bedrooms with one King bed and two Double beds. The cabins sit nestled near the banks of the Guntersville Reservoir among a forest of pines and hardwoods. They are perfect for a quiet retreat, family reunions, and other special events.Check in at 4 p.m.Check out at 11 a.m.All rates are subject to 12% lodging tax.Rates are subject to change without notice.No Pets Allowed, except in the 2 designated pet-friendly cabins. Request these units when making reservations.Three (3) night minimum required for major holiday weekends. Reservations must be reserved with a credit card or payment for first nights received within ten days from date reservation is made with balance due on arrival. We do not post charges to a credit card when reservation is made. Payment is due upon your arrival. Cancellation or reservation change must be made 72 hours prior to arrival for deposit refund, not applicable in group or convention reservations.Help us to better serve you by having the following ready upon your arrival: your method of payment, the make of your vehicle, and your tag number. Situated within the pine studded woodlands and adjacent to the reservoir shoreline are 321 improved campsites blending with the serenity of nature. Ranging from the primitive to the modern, complete with utilities, the sites vary to suit nearly every taste. Various campground conveniences include utility connections, tables, grills, bathhouses, hot showers, a country store, and play areas.
Located on the campground is a Nature Center with a Naturalist on duty to provide interesting programs.
Sunbathers and water enthusiasts will enjoy the beach complex with Beach Pavilion adjacent to the campground.
We have a total of 20 chalets that rest on the pinnacle of Taylor Mountain. Enjoy majestic views of the 69,000-acre Guntersville Reservoir. Relax on the wraparound porch with a cup of coffee and watch as deer graze near the edge of the woods within feet of your chalet. Explore the park on numerous hiking trails. Go birdwatching. Or just sit back, relax, and unwind while enjoying the quiet solitude of Lake Guntersville State Park.

We also have two handicap accessible chalets which are equipped with one King and one Double bed or two Double beds.

We are proud to announce that the Pinecrest Dining Room is now open to the public! Scrumptious buffets and menu orders are once again being served up in our elegant showcase restaurant that offers spectacular views of the 69,000 acre Guntersville Reservoir. Food & Beverage Manager Wylie Poundstone brings a wealth of culinary talents to our Pinecrest Dining Room.
Golfers will enjoy the beautiful 18 hole championship golf course and pro shop at Lake Guntersville Resort State Park. The golf course has practice driving, chipping and putting facilities. In the Clubhouse you will find color TV, showers, snacks, and a supply of golfing equipment.
The golf course hosts many tournaments for schools and businesses. Call for pricing and special offseason rates.

Outdoor Space
Price includes setups such as tables and chairs. Rooms are arranged to the customer?s specifications, within reason, with the exception of The Boardroom. This room is pre-set like a corporate boardroom in a professional business office. Rental fees are waived if a sit-down meal is served. Lake Guntersville State Park is the provider for all food services in the Lodge and meeting facilities. A list of food and beverage menus is found on our website. No food or beverages, including soft drinks and snacks, are allowed to be brought into the lodge's meeting and convention center. Amenities provided at an additional cost per item include screens, projectors, laptops, podiums, sound system, etc. Each of these rooms, with the exception of the Lower Terrace, is located in the Lodge adjacent to the hotel rooms. Azalea?s I, II, & III, and Dogwood, are located in a hallway to the left of the entrance just off the main lobby. The Grandview Ballroom is new space we acquired during renovations. The room is directly above the main dining room and has access to the upper terrace overlooking the Guntersville Reservoir. Camellia and The Boardroom are centrally located to the left of the lobby. Goldenrod is located in the far left corner of the Lodge and has access to the upper terrace. Combined, we have 13,893 square feet of meeting space! Town Creek Fishing Center is located on Guntersville Lake near the mouth of Town Creek on Alabama Hwy 227. Fishing services offered include a boat ramp, flat bottom boat and canoe rentals, gas pump on the water, fishing pier, fishing license, fishing tackle, supplies and artificial bait, as well as drinks and refreshments.
The Fishing Center is closed from mid-November to mid-March each year.
Lake Guntersville is located in north Alabama between Bridgeport and Guntersville. Alabama's largest lake contains 69,100 acres and stretches 75 miles from Nickajack Dam to Guntersville Dam. Free boat ramps and private marinas dot the lake's perimeter. Fishing, boating, camping, hunting and eagle watching are popular sports in the area. Eagle watching centers on Guntersville State Park and the dam during the winter, though some bald eagles stay all year. Guntersville Lake fish habitat includes milfoil and hydilla weed beds from which big bass explode on topwater baits.
