On a return visit to Fort Ross State Historic Park, as usual I found the staff, exhibits, etc. to be in excellent condition. Whether you are a new visitor, or, as in my case, a return visitor you receive a thorough orientation and other information. All staff were first class in their conduct and information. As a Californian, it makes me proud to think of the out of town visitors and how they must be impressed by our State and local employees serving at these sites. I am so grateful that my mother insisted that, when we were growing up, we visit all historical sites regardless of the state we were in while we were traveling.
