October 20 Great Year @ Conchas Lake! by Colorqueen
park review stars; one to five We went to the lake almost every weekend since early spring and what a beautiful 2009 it was. The Spring fishing was best, the water is BLUE, as water should be and warmed up nicely by June for lots of waterfun. Walking, Biking, Hiking, Swimming, name your favorite outdoor adventure and you can find it here. The wildlife was spectacular: Deer, Turkeys, Eagles, Birds, Birds, Birds! chipmunks and squirrels, rabbits, even cows and horses! We bought a camping pass so we could afford to go often. Fantastic Cheap Summer Fun!
May 29 We go every year, at least twice!
park review stars; one to five We just got back from a week long stay. There are plenty of 2-3 lb catfish and rock bass coming out, but I nailed a 4 1/2 lb 18 1/4 inch largemouth bass. The water levels are lower than in previous years, but we still had plenty of room for the boat and jet skis. The facilities are wonderful too!
