Cedar Creek State Park is a picturesque natural oasis known for its diverse wildlife and lush greenery. History of the Area
Located in Franklin County, Alabama, the park was established in 1979. It spans over 427 acres of land and water bodies. The area is known for its diverse flora and fauna.

The park offers various recreational activities such as camping, fishing, boating etc., attracting numerous visitors each year. In addition to this it also has a designated swimming beach.

Over time improvements have been made including picnic areas with grills added along with modern restroom facilities.

Despite being impacted by budget cuts in recent years which threatened closure; local support ensured that it remained open.

Directions
If you're coming from Birmingham, Alabama:

1. Start by heading southeast on I:20 E/I-59 N.
2. Take exit 132 for US:11 S/US-31 S toward Alton.
3. Turn right onto Gadsden Hwy (signs for Trussville).
4. Continue straight to stay on Gadsden Hwy.
5. Use the left two lanes to turn slightly left onto Chalkville Mountain Rd.

From Montgomery, Alabama:

1. Start out going northbound on I65:N.
2. Take Exit 205 towards Clanton.
3. Turn Right at AL22:W and continue until Maplesville.
4. At Maplesvile take a Left into County Road 10.
