Bull's Island Recreation Area comprises a portion of a small forested island surrounded by the Delaware River and the Delaware & Raritan Canal. A trail along the towpath of the canal reveals a lowland floodplain forest dominated by sycamore, silver maple and tulip poplar. Several rare plant species are found in this natural area.

Camping is no longer permitted at Bulls Island.

July 22 The park should be for the public by Public tubing!

Why does the park cater to Deleware River tubing? A compnay that made 2.2M using the ramps and blocking the access areas with their busses? Why not expand the parking so all can use the river and not just corporations!

what a park bin camping there for years the river is great get a tube go from the west end to the east end walk back do it again or go on a tube trip 4 the day walk over foot bridge go to the gen store or have a frist class meal so peace full every 1 gets a long

Directions

Take I-287 or Route 22 to the intersection with Route 202 in Somerville. Follow Route 202 south for 26 miles to the exit for Route 29 north. Go north for about 6 miles. The entrance is on the left.
